Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data gindex.cc and the WP Markdown plugin collect, why, and what you can do about it. The service is run by Yasser Mamdouh, who decides how this data is used. Contact: support@gindex.cc.

1. What we collect

2. What the plugin sends us

When you activate WP Markdown, once a day after that, and when WordPress checks for updates, the plugin sends gindex.cc your licence key, your site’s address and the plugin version. It sends nothing about your content or your visitors.

3. Why we use it

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and this website uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Cookies

We set one cookie, gx_s, only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is needed for your account to work.

5. Who else handles your data

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and licences while your account exists. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Security data is deleted within 24 hours, and sign-in codes after use or expiry.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by writing to support@gindex.cc from your account’s email address. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, except purchase records we must keep by law. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

8. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2, licence keys are encrypted, and sign-in needs both your password and a code sent to your email.

9. Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 16.

10. Changes

When we change this policy we publish the new version here with a new date, and we email account holders about important changes.
