Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms apply to gindex.cc, your gindex account, and the WP Markdown WordPress plugin (together, “the service”). The service is run by Yasser Mamdouh (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@gindex.cc.
By creating an account, buying a licence, or redeeming a code, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who sells to you
Purchases on gindex.cc are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, sends the invoice, collects any tax and handles refunds, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Lifetime deals sold on AppSumo are sold by AppSumo under its own terms; you then redeem your AppSumo code in your gindex account.
2. Your licence
- A licence gives you a key for WP Markdown that works on the number of websites in your plan: 1 or 3 sites for yearly plans, 1 or 6 sites for AppSumo lifetime deals.
- One website means one domain.
example.comandwww.example.comcount as one; other subdomains count as separate websites. - Yearly plans include updates and support for the year you paid for. If you do not renew, the plugin keeps working on your sites, but you no longer receive updates or support.
- Lifetime deals include updates for as long as we develop WP Markdown.
- You can move your key from one site to another from your account. To prevent abuse, a key can be moved at most 3 times in 30 days.
3. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent, give away or publish your licence key, or let others use it.
- Use a key on more websites than your plan allows, for example by moving it between sites in turn.
- Remove, disable or get around the licence check, or offer a modified copy that does so.
- Use our names, logos or website content as if they were yours.
WP Markdown’s PHP code is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, as WordPress plugins usually are. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL gives you over that code. These terms cover what the GPL does not: your licence key, your account, downloads, updates and support from us, and our brand.
4. What remains ours
The names gindex and WP Markdown, our logos, this website, its text, design and images, our documentation, and the licence and update service belong to Yasser Mamdouh. Buying a licence does not transfer any of them to you.
5. Your account
Give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. We may suspend or end an account or a key that is used for fraud, abuse, chargebacks or a breach of these terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
6. Renewals, upgrades and cancelling
- Yearly plans renew automatically each year at the price shown when you bought, until you cancel. Paddle emails you before each renewal.
- You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt, or by writing to us. Your plan then runs until the end of the paid year.
- When you upgrade from 1 to 3 sites, Paddle charges the difference for the rest of your current year, then the 3-site price at renewal.
7. Refunds
- If WP Markdown does not work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase by writing to support@gindex.cc. Paddle issues the refund.
- Lifetime deals bought on AppSumo are refunded by AppSumo, under its refund policy.
- When a purchase is refunded, its licence key is deactivated on every site and stops working, and its downloads and updates end.
8. The service as it is
We work to keep WP Markdown reliable, but the plugin and the service are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. Keep backups of your site. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes
We may change the service and these terms. When we change the terms we publish the new version here with a new date, and we email account holders about important changes. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
